Pascale Bauman was born and raised in Durango Co. After exploring Florida Keys for several years she came back to Colorado and has called it home since 2007. Pascale studied graphic design at Fort Lewis College in Durango. With an archeologist and artists for a father and a jeweler/artist for a mother, Pascale was exposed to a wide range of creative experience and knowledge that she brings to her various projects. Pascale is as an animal rights activist. She coined the slogan "Ivory is Not Art" for fundraisers to help stop elephant and rhino poaching in Africa and Asia. When she's not working on creative projects, Pascale enjoys gardening, hiking, ice skating, and tending to her worm farm.

Her love of hiking in The Bears Ears National Monument as well as rockhounding in La Plata canyon inspires her geological themed work. Her experimentation with light and shadow guide her to paint optical illusion, neon black light pieces. Through her art, she strives to evoke a sense of wonder at the beautiful complexities found in the natural and abstract worlds.
